New Generation Flooring of Fallbrook, San Diego County, CA
now offers Faux Rocks and Wall landscaping
services! |
Rock features are showing up
everywhere. Why not add them to your repertoire? The world's great deposits of
synthetic rock were once concentrated in zoos, theme parks and the occasional
museum exhibit. But times have changed, and these days, faux rock is cropping
up all over, from backyard pools and spas to shopping-mall waterfalls.
The demand for artificial rock is
booming just about everywhere. Only in parts of Southern California has it
peaked in popularity. But if someone wants to put in a sandstone waterfall, a
lava-rock barbeque, or a granite grotto, why not use real rock? There are a
number of reasons why faux is so popular.
- Cost is one big factor. For the
same money your customer might spend on a modest real-rock feature, they could
have a mini Grand Canyon made with synthetic rock.
- Weight is another
consideration. Pool decks or other structures that would fail beneath the
crushing weight of rock generally easily support faux.
- When it comes to water
features, which go hand in hand with rockwork, faux rock has no mortared joints
to leak and seep like real rock features do.
- Environmentally, faux
eliminates the need to tear up to the earth to mine real rock.
- It also offers versatility and
ease of use that real rock can't touch. You don't need to bore holes through
solid rock to hide the plumbing and electrical guts of a waterfall or hire a
crane to hoist boulders into place.

Fallbrook's downtown is not on any major highway route. It is 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Interstate 15 or 5 miles (8.0 km) north of State Route 76. Fallbrook is situated immediately east of the U.S. Marine Corps' Camp Pendleton. It once housed a stagecoach stop for the stage that ran from Temecula to San Diego.

History
The community of Fallbrook began in the area known today as Live Oak County Park. The first permanent recorded settlement was in 1869, when the Vital Reche family settled here. They named the new community Fall Brook after their former homestead in Pennsylvania.
The present town site was plotted in 1885. The original Fallbrook School, though closed as a school in 1939, still serves the community as the Reche Clubhouse. One of the community’s churches was constructed in 1890 and is still in use today.
Indeed, Fallbrook's gift is a quiet, persistent allure to research and preserve its story. The result is a remarkable historical museum which attracts visitors to its pictures and stories. It serves to honor old-timers for their contributions while challenging newcomers to become part of the legacy.
Oak trees were the original primary trees in Fallbrook. Olives became a major crop by the 1920's and continued through World War II, but were eventually phased out in favor of the present avocado and floral industry.
Though the population continues to increase at a moderate pace, Fallbrook maintains an easy lifestyle and retains its "Friendly Village" atmosphere loved by residents and envied by visitors.
Fallbrook California Weather

Annual rainfall is roughly 16 inches and comes mostly between November and April. The area is ideal for avocados, fruits, strawberries, tomatoes and many sub-tropical fruits, vegetables, flowers and, of course, avocados. If what you are looking for is a peaceful, rural countryside with all the amenities nearby, Fallbrook might just be that place.
Our community of 44,000 is spread over 127 square miles. A drive around the area reveals active lifestyles. Four golf courses meander through rolling hills within a 10-mile radius of ou town center. When tennis is the action, a missed back-hand shot is secondary to the magnificent panoramic views, but we also have a tennis club.
Sturdy white rail fences mark miles of equestrian trails, adjacent to avocado, lemon, cherimoya and macadamia nut groves, while floppy scarecrows and windmills watch over vegetable gardens in this relaxed, rural environment.
